WSCC ANNUAL CONVENTION
BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The WSCC Convention is the largest and most prestigious event of WSCC's calendar year. Club(s) planning on hosting Convention should make very effort to plan a full schedule for maximum enjoyment of all participants. In the last 45 years there have been only five occasions that a Convention was not held; 1977, 1990, 1992, 1997 and 1998. The longest continuous run of Conventions happened took place in the periods 1978-1989 and again from 1999-2010. WSCC has held Conventions in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas and in 1970 Convention was held in Vancouver, BC.
The Council accepts all financial responsibility for expenses incurred for material, services, rental of property, etc., as necessary, to the organizing and distribution of the events packages. This responsibility does not apply to any individual personal expenses. All expenses must be accompanied by valid receipts. In return 50% (percent) of the profits from Convention belong to WSCC. The Club's profit is 50% (percent).
Open to any voting club(s) interested in hosting the events at Convention for WSCC. Club(s) shall be a voting club at least one year and will have put on a successful event in the preceding 12 month period.
Club(s) considering hosting the events for a Convention must make initial contact with the E-Board at least a year in advance.
Club(s) shall submit the following to the E-Board for approval:
tentative schedule of events to include Autocross, Concours, Car show, Park and Show, Rallye, Tours, Activities (listing the club hosting the event), WSCC General Business Meeting, Committee Meetings, Banquets, Dinners, and Dances.
Suggested package and event prices (including partial packages).
List of suggested hotels in the area with addresses and persons for the E-Board to contact.
Site location and cost for the Autocross/Slalom.
